PARISH BAPTISM TEAM

In preparation for the Sacrament of Baptism two members of the Baptism Team visit the child's home to express their congratulations and, on behalf of the Parish Community, to welcome the newly arrived.

The brief discussion centres around the Reading,  Prayers of the Faithful, significance of the symbols used in the ceremony, church seating arrangements etc.

A Family Prayer Book will be presented to the parents as a memento of the occasion.

The members of the Baptism Team are:

Margaret Flynn, Margo Duffy, Jane Smith, Mary Whelan, Mary Coffey, Phyllis Barrett, Julie Carry, Sr. Genevieve, Fr. John and Fr. Liam.
